About us
We are a large 70 place
day nursery set in East Ham on a busy main road. We are open plan
and have no closed areas in the nursery. Our nursery in sectioned
into a baby room, toddler room, 2-3 room and a 3-5 room. We have 18
permanent members of staff and at least 5 students on work
placement. All staff are qualified and are all CRB checked. We have
now been open for 6 years. We implement the national curriculum and
EYFS. Our children learn in a safe stimulating environment through
play. We have a large enclosed outdoor play area which also has a
shaded area so that children can play out in all weathers. The
children in 3-5 room benefit from French lessons once a week. We are
a multi-cultural nursery whose children and staff are very diverse.
Our practise is inclusive and we welcome children with special
educational needs (SEN) .We also have specialised member of staff
that can sign to deaf children. A lot of our children speak English
as their second language this is not a problem for us as most of our
staff are bi-lingual. We have staff who specialise in child
protection, behaviour management, and SEN. These members of staff
are very passionate about what they do and have been on training
courses and take their roles very seriously. Our nursery is bright
and vibrant and has a very welcoming feeling, our nursery manager has
run this nursery since the day it was open. Most of our staff have
been with us for over 2 years for a day nursery our turn-over of
staff is very low. |
